New Delhi | Wizard News Desk: The number of novel coronavirus cases is increasing at an alarming rate in the country. The number of cases have surged to 1,90,535, while the death toll has risen to 5,394, according to the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the total number of cases, there are 93,322 active cases, while 91,819 people have been cured. 
A day after guidelines were released by Home Ministry, several state governments like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh extended lockdown, and released guidelines-- easing restrictions outside containment zones. 
Ministry of Home Affairs' guidelines regarding Unlock1 have come into effect today and will remain effective till June 30.
The unlock 1 phase of re-opening will have an economic focus. Shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, and religious places of worship will be allowed to open from June 8.

9 am: Salons reopen in Moradabad after state government allowed salons and beauty parlours to operate with conditions of social distancing and other precautionary measures. 
8:21 am: Operation Samudra Setu: INS Jalashwa arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka today to bring back Indian citizens stranded overseas. The ship is expected to embark approximately 700 Indian nationals. Earlier, INS Jalashwa had repatriated 1286 citizens from Male, Maldives.
8:05 am: Ganga Ghats in Varanasi remain deserted on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra today, as gathering of devotees is restricted to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Govt has allowed reopening of religious places from June 8.
7:55 am: Karnataka: KSR Bengaluru-Hubli Janshatbdi leaves from Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Railway Station. Indian Railways has started operations of 200 passenger train services from today.

7:15 am: Gautam Budh Nagar: Police check passes and IDs of people entering the district at Noida-Delhi border near Delhi's Mayur Vihar Extension area. Gautam Budh Nagar district administration yesterday said it will keep the Noida-Delhi border shut. As per a report of the district health department, 'source of infection in 42% of the COVID19 cases in the last 20 days has been tracked to Delhi'.

7 am: Madhya Pradesh: Indore District Collector Manish Singh held a meeting with government officials over #Unlock1 yesterday. He said, "In central part of Indore, grocery shops & dairies will open but only for home delivery of goods. Fruit & vegetable sellers are allowed in the area".
